Overview

This page lists every cookie the DiscoveredBy website (discoveredby.ai) and the DiscoveredBy app (app.discoveredby.ai) set, and the few settings they keep in your browser’s local storage. The website uses cookies only for analytics. The app uses cookies to sign you in and to remember where you were. We set no advertising cookies on either.

What we set

Cookies on discoveredby.ai

Cookies in the app at app.discoveredby.ai

access_token: Keeps you signed in. It holds your session token and cannot be read by page scripts.; Duration: 7 days, or until you sign out; Controlled by consent: No. The app cannot sign you in without it.
current_project_id: Remembers which project you were working in.; Duration: 1 year, or until you sign out; Controlled by consent: No.
ml_state: Ties a sign-in link to the browser that asked for it, so the link cannot be used from another browser.; Duration: 20 minutes, or until you open the link; Controlled by consent: No. Sign-in by email link needs it.
g_state: Ties a Google sign-in to the browser that started it.; Duration: 15 minutes, or until Google sends you back; Controlled by consent: No. Sign-in with Google needs it.

The app’s cookies are set on app.discoveredby.ai only. The app shows no cookie notice because it runs no analytics. When you upgrade a plan, the app loads the checkout from our payment provider, Razorpay, which may set cookies of its own under its own policy.

Your analytics choice

Analytics cookies are on by default. The first time you visit the website, a cookie notice appears at the bottom of the page with two buttons:

Got it keeps analytics on.
Decline stops Google Analytics from setting cookies straight away and deletes the _ga cookies already in your browser. Every part of the site still works.

Your choice is saved in your browser as db_consent, and the notice stops appearing. On later visits the saved choice is applied before Google Analytics loads. After a Decline the Google Analytics script still loads, with analytics storage denied: it neither reads nor sets analytics cookies, but the site still passes it page views and clicks on sign-up links, which Google receives without a cookie identifier. Advertising storage is always off, whatever you choose.

To change your mind, use the button below. It opens the cookie notice again so you can choose Got it or Decline; your earlier choice stays in effect until you pick.

If your browser blocks local storage, the choice cannot be saved: the notice returns each time the site is loaded fresh (a new tab or a reload), and a Decline lasts only until then.

You can also block or delete cookies for any site in your browser’s settings.
